THE WISDOM OF WAR
Allah SWT said:
“So, they defeated them by the will of Allah, and Dawud (David) killed Jalut, and Allah gave him the kingdom and the wisdom and taught him what He willed. Had Allah not been pushing back some people by means of others, the earth would have been spoiled. But Allah is All-Gracious to all the worlds.” (Surah al-Baqarah: 251)
The Quran is revealed to be the guide for humanity for all times to come. All of its contents, including stories of people of ancient times, are true and will always serve as a lesson to all mankind. One of the lessons we can glean from these stories is that Allah has the power to save humanity with His laws, and nothing, including any creature who thinks of themselves as the strongest and the most powerful being on earth, can stand in His way.
Although, as Muslims, we always have to prioritize peace, there are times when we have to take strong measures against the transgressions committed by those whose hearts were bewitched by the Iblis (Satan)’s exaggerated sense of self-importance.
This, in turn, dismisses the theory of the philosophers who believe in the notion that human beings should not engage in warfare. In fact, this notion is merely wishful thinking that aims to change the laws of nature that is in accordant with the decree of Allah.
Allah has already revealed that in order to remedy the situation, the human race must be the ones to initiate efforts to confront the transgressions perpetrated by their own kind. The biggest problem faced by humanity is the bad apples who are enslaved by their desires to the extent of believing that they are the most powerful people on earth.
They set out to implement a type of barbaric law where one who has power is given a free pass to treat other people indiscriminately, which can only be achieved by abandoning all trace of common sense. In the end, the situation can only be resolved through war.
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union at the end of the 20th century, Prof. Francis Fukuyama came forward with a new theory. He emphasized, among others, that the liberal capitalist power will be the sole power and it is unchallenged by any other power (the last man), yet he forgot to take into account the unrivalled power of Allah SWT.
This theory was mentioned in his book ‘The End of History and Last Man’, based on his article ‘The End of History?’, which was written for the ‘The National Interest’ journal in 1989. In the article, Fukuyama argued that the legitimacy of liberal democracy as a system of government had emerged throughout the world in recent years, overcoming other ideologies, such as monarchy, fascism, and communism. Islam is not on the list, however.
In addition, Fukuyama also argued that liberal democracy may constitute the “end point of mankind’s ideological evolution” and the “final form of human government”, and because of that, constituted “the end of history”.
In fact, Fukuyama also predicted that there would be no more conflict between major ideologies at the end of history. He claimed that the earlier forms of government were characterized by great defects and irrationalities, thus resulting in their eventual collapse.
As for liberal democracy, according to Fukuyama, it is free from any fundamental internal contradictions. However, he did not deny that democracies that have been established today, such as in the United States, France, or Switzerland, do not have any problems of injustice or serious social problems.
For Fukuyama, on the other hand, the problems involving social injustice are the result of an incomplete implementation of the principles of liberty and equality in a liberal democracy. Some present-day countries might fail to achieve stable liberal democracy, while other countries may lapse back into other primitive forms of rule, such as theocracy or military dictatorship.
The Western bloc, led by the United States, has declared a new world order in an attempt to show that it is in power and it is going to be the world’s sole superpower. Therefore, at the first emergence of other power that can rival its power, it will immediately crush it.
Ultimately, the Muslims become their primary target for fear of the eternal teaching of Islam even though the Muslims are not being backed by any government at the level of superpower. In fact, Islam and the Muslims continue to be slandered, which then culminates into islamophobia.
The attack on Iran was launched as soon as the country turned into the Islamic Republic after the revolution that succeeded in overthrowing the Shah of Iran (Reza Shah Pahlavi). At the same time, they use fear-mongering against Iraq and Afghanistan by labelling them as the centre of Islamic terrorists’ activities.
Therefore, a proxy war was orchestrated by the West in the land of the Muslims whom they consider as their competitor, regardless of their political affiliation or sect. Then, they recruited people, most of whom were already affected by the provocations, and supplied the people with weapons to carry out their terrorist activities. The West, in turn, will eliminate them using their barbaric international law.
However, they were eventually forced to withdraw from Afghanistan, while in Iraq, their situation kept deteriorating. This situation occurred after they failed to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran, even though they had already denounced the country by labelling them as a Shia country.
Now, there is a Sunni group called ‘Imarah Islamiyyah in Afghanistan that is being abused without any acknowledgement from the international community. Even if the group is helped eventually in the name of humanity, Islam is still hindered and denied even after taking the path of democracy that they take pride in.
The world is turned into a chessboard, and only the West has the right to move other countries like their chess pieces with the support of their allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and their underlings like Israel and several other countries. Every action that is taken against any country, even if it uses the same, if not more, degree of violence, is for the sake of fighting against terrorism.
This type of aggression is also directed towards non-Muslim countries that the West considers a threat, like Russia, China, Venezuela, and others. Those countries are pressured to bend to the will of the West and arranged accordingly on the chessboard.
Their latest move by drawing Eastern European countries into a military NATO alliance, while arming Ukraine and luring it to join NATO is a form of provocation. What they did can be constituted as a form of extreme provocation meant to incite war between two superpowers.
What we need to do now is to replace extreme governments with governments that are on par with it. We also have to make changes to the world map that only reflects the desire of one party.
It is written in the decree of Allah that this is the ending of a nation that pretends to be the sole power on the throne for a very long time. This is why no great power can maintain its position forever, including the Islamic government, especially when it became arrogant and committed injustice towards other human beings.
Every time after the prayer is performed, we recite the words of Allah SWT:
“Say: ‘O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Surely You are All-Power-ful. (26).” (Surah Ali ‘Imran: 26)
